24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions (OEMS) was proud to be the Platinum Sponsor of the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA) 27th Annual Conference in Toronto.CAPA 2026 is the only national conference for Physician Assistants in Canada. It brought together PAs, PA students, educators, physicians, employers and health care leaders from across the country under this year’s theme, “imPAct in Action.” The conference also hosted the 2nd Annual National PA Job Fair.Dr. Withers, Bill Burfitt, and Jamie Dougan represented 24/7 OEMS, reconnecting with many longtime colleagues and introducing students and newly graduated physician assistants to the opportunities in occupational medicine.PAs bring adaptability, clinical judgement and a team-based approach, and those skills are exactly what occupational and emergency medicine needs. Last week, 24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions (OEMS) was in Halifax for the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research Forum 2026. Dr. Nick Withers, our Corporate Medical Director, represented us.This year marked the Forum’s 15th anniversary. For three days, researchers, clinicians, government, industry and military leaders met to share research and ideas on the health and well-being of Canada’s military members, Veterans, public safety personnel and their families.Major-General Scott Malcolm, Surgeon General of the Canadian Armed Forces, gave the keynote to the plenary. He set the tone for three days of discussion on readiness, research and care for those who serve.Our parent company, Bayshore HealthCare, was proud to sponsor CIMVHR Forum 2026. That support reflects our shared commitment to the people who serve and have served, and to the research that improves their care.The Forum was also a chance for Dr. Withers to reconnect with fellow military Veterans who are now Bayshore leaders: Sandy Jalonen, Director of Operations, and A.J.
